Coming Together: Punked by Liberal Hoaxers

Bravely taking a stand against hate that didn't exist, these tools aren't the sharpest ones in the drawer. We shall overcome...

I have to admit, I am engaged enough in the culture war that I enjoyed seeing Jussie Smollett convicted of five felonies for staging a heinous anti-gay and anti-Black hate crime to bring attention to himself.

As a conservative, it is delicious to have the self-described truth-tellers of the media and the "reality-based community" of the left made to look foolish.

The false report by the Muslim teen who claimed she was attacked by three men shouting “Donald Trump!” was bad enough, but the way the media swallowed the story was another example of sloppy journalism.

Most outlets didn’t attach any skepticism to her claim, treating it as fact even though there were no witnesses to an attack that she said happened on a crowded subway.

Police took her seriously, but now charge her with filing a false report. -Michael Goodwin Go To Site

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton also tweeted about the incident, writing "There's no excuse for racism and violence on a college campus." To date, Clinton has not apologized for rushing to judgment or suggesting there's no excuse for hate crime hoaxes. -Ashe Schow Go To Site

In February 2013, a series of bias incidents occurred on Oberlin campus. The outraged campus canceled classes and received much attention from the media, including an article in the Huffington Post. However, the two students who perpetrated the racist acts later claimed that it was a “joke” in order to “troll” the campus, according to the police report. Notably, the lead perpetrator was a liberal student with a history of Obama activism in high school and college.

In 2005, a 17-year-old female wrestler and leader of a Marin County, CA, high school’s Gay-Straight Alliance said that mystery antagonists had spray-painted DIE FAG on her car and her school’s wall and had received several threatening phone calls attacking her sexuality. A vigil was held in her honor. Then she admitted she was the one who’d spray-painted both DIE FAGs and that she hadn’t received any threats at all.

In March, hundreds of students at Central Connecticut State University held a rally to back Alexandra Pennell, a student who told the crowd that she had been receiving notes in her dormitory room attacking her for being a lesbian. Now Pennell has been expelled from the university and faces numerous criminal charges that she faked the notes, The Hartford Courant reported. Police who were investigating Pennell's allegations installed (with her knowledge) a camera to try to identify who was leaving the notes. Twice the camera was turned off, and during one of those times, a note arrived. Authorities then installed another camera in a hall closet and recorded Pennell leaving the notes herself.

"It was a giant step forward to bringing the community around to respecting gay students," says Tammy Buzzard, a junior and a member of Lambda, a gay-student group. "A lot of people took time out to help her, to rally around her." That support came to an abrupt end last month, when Ms. Prissel confessed to police that she had made up the entire incident.

At Spokane Community College, a racist and sexist letter from "Whitey" appeared in an advice column in the student newspaper, the Reporter, last year. After campus protests about the letter's derogatory language about women, gays, and minority students, the newspaper's editors admitted that "Whitey" was a fictional character they had created to raise awareness about racism on campus.

A week after a reported campus hate crime drew national attention, sparked protests and shut down the prestigious Claremont Colleges, police on Wednesday called the incident a hoax staged by a professor who slashed tires, shattered windows and spray-painted racist graffiti on her own car. Claremont McKenna College psychology professor Kerri Dunn, who had told police that her car was vandalized as she spoke at a March 9 forum on racism, was identified by two eyewitnesses as the person who damaged the auto, authorities said Wednesday.

We stand by the claim that issues of race and sexual violence on campus are real, and we join the ad's call to all of us at Duke to do something about this. We hope that the Duke community will emerge from this tragedy as a better place for all of us to live, study, and work.

Binding him with duct tape and gagging him, a person or persons had taped his federal census ID to his head and shoulder and with a felt tip pen had scrawled FED on his chest. Network reporters, arriving in the area of the Daniel Boone National Forest, have expressed shock that the fresh-faced outdoorsy people in the area so outspokenly hate the federal government.

Quinn Matney, a freshman, told police that a man grabbed his wrist and burned him early in the morning April 4 on the Craige Residence Hall footbridge. Matney said Monday that the attack left him with third- and fourth-degree burns. Because his report was found to be false, the University will not report it as a hate crime, officials said.

This is despicable, and whomever did this to this poor woman needs to see the inside of a jail cell for a long, long time. Hopefully as some big burly prisoner's b***ch. I weep for this nation and its ignorance and intolerance.
