An illegal immigrant convicted of killing a California family in a drunken driving crash in southwestern Idaho has been sentenced to at least eight years in prison. Eusebio Jacobo Pineda was sentenced Monday to 32 years in prison, with the possibility of parole after eight.

Police have identified the victims of a car crash Saturday involving a human smuggler as a mother and daughter from Texas.

  The alleged smuggler ran a stop sign while fleeing from police and T-boned the victims’ vehicle. He also allegedly had six illegal immigrants in his vehicle, all of whom are now in custody. One of the immigrants flew through the windshield upon impact, but survived.

  The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) confirmed the mother, 59, and daughter, 22, were locals from Mission...

  The alleged smuggler, an 18-year-old U.S. citizen, had six illegal immigrants in the vehicle at the time of the incident. The smuggler faces charges of felony evading and human smuggling.

A 5-year-old girl was killed Saturday after a drunken and speeding driver crashed into the back of a car she was riding in on State Road 60, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.

  Ernesto Lopez Morales, 32, an undocumented immigrant from Guatemala, had no headlights on at the time of the 8:30 p.m. crash, the Sheriff’s Office said. Morales had a blood-alcohol content of .108, over the legal limit of .08 for drivers, after drinking six 32-ounce beers, the Sheriff’s Office said. He told deputies he was on his way to buy more.

  Morales crashed his 2005 Chevrolet Suburban into the back of a 2016 Hyundai Elantra and pushed it more than 600 feet before it came to a stop, the Sheriff’s Office said. The girl was sitting in the back and died at the scene.

An illegal immigrant driving drunk and without a license crashed through a fence Sunday, hitting and killing a 3-year-old girl as she was waiting in line for ice cream in Porterville, California. Adolf Balbuena, 18, mowed down the toddler, Angeles Moreno, as she and several others, including an 8-year-old boy, were waiting line at an ice cream truck. After hitting Moreno, Balbuena backed up and drove away. He was arrested at his home around an hour later, the Fresno Bee reported.

A man who was arrested mid-November in connection with the hit-and-run death of a 67-year-old Marine veteran has been determined to be in the country illegally.

  Federal immigration officials identified Nemias Perez Severiano, 31, as “an illegally present Mexican national,” which led to a detainer being lodged by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement...

  On Nov. 10, Severiano allegedly struck and killed Samuel W. Jackson, a Vietnam veteran, as he exited his parked car in front of his Norristown, Pennsylvania, home. Surveillance footage from the area, along with debris that matched the Toyota Scion allegedly being driven by Severiano, painted a gruesome picture of Jackson’s final moments.

An illegal immigrant who received positive press coverage during his fight against deportation earlier this year struck and killed a father of five in Colorado on Aug. 2 while driving without a license.

  According to press reports, Miguel Ramirez Valiente was charged with careless driving with a revoked license after he over-corrected his truck while driving on a state highway near Colorado Springs, hitting Sean Buchanan.

  Buchanan was riding a motorcycle when he was hit by Ramirez Valiente, who came to the U.S. from El Salvador 14 years ago. Ramirez Valiente has several prior charges on his arrest record.

  According to Denver’s ABC news affiliate, The Denver Channel, Ramirez Valiente was charged with reckless endangerment in 2011 and domestic violence in 2016. Both cases were dismissed by the El Paso County district attorney.

The mother of Pierce Corcoran, who was killed in a car crash here that has stirred the national debate over immigration, released her first public statement about her son's death.

  Pierce, 22, died Dec. 29 after police say Franco Cambrany Francisco-Eduardo swerved into oncoming traffic and struck his car, causing a multi-vehicle wreck on Chapman Highway.

  Francisco-Eduardo, 44, faces charges of criminally negligent homicide and driving without a license or insurance; he is currently being held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An illegal immigrant from Mexico who is wanted for killing two people in a hit-and-run accident in Kentucky has been deported from the United States eight times, the federal government said on Wednesday.

  Miguel Angel Villasenor-Saucedo, a 40-year-old Mexican national, was living illegally in Louisville, Kentucky, when he allegedly drove drunk and killed two women on October 22, WAVE-TV reported.

The man suspected of killing an Oregon couple in a high-speed drunk driving collision earlier in August is an illegal immigrant from Mexico, The Daily Caller News Foundation learned.

  Eduardo de la Lima Vargas, 39, allegedly ran a red light on a state highway in Salem, Oregon, on Aug. 19, striking a motorcycle being driven by Logan Wilson, 34, and his wife Jessi, 32. The collision tossed the Wilsons from the motorcycle, fatally injuring both.

  Vargas blew a .10 blood alcohol level on a breathalyzer roughly two hours after the crash, according to a Salem police report. Investigators believe he was probably driving at twice the legal alcohol limit at the time he crashed into the Wilsons, who are survived by four young children.

Federal immigration authorities have placed detainers on two Guatemalan nationals charged this week in a devastating hit-and-run crash that killed a 4-year-old Richmond boy and severely injured his parents and older brother. Neither of the men have driver’s licenses.

  Both defendants are now facing deportation after Immigration Custom Enforcement officials determined they were either in the country illegally or violated the terms of their lawful immigration status.

The mother of a police officer who was killed in a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver in May has entered the political fray on the issue of illegal immigration.

  In an impassioned letter sent to President Obama late Wednesday, Sgt. Brandon Mendoza's mother, Mary Ann Mendoza, wrote of her anger that the driver, Raul Silva-Corona, was not deported two decades ago after he was convicted for crimes in Colorado.

  "The prosecutors were 'lenient' on him and several charges were dismissed," she wrote. "When he was convicted of these crimes (in) 1994 and the government knew he was in the country illegally, why wasn't he deported? Why are any of these illegal criminals in this country?"

An illegal alien from Haiti has been accused of shooting a Florida police officer in the head, leaving him in critical condition.

  Wisner Desmaret, a 29-year-old illegal alien from Haiti, is facing eight felonies including attempted first-degree murder after he allegedly shot and nearly killed Fort Meyers Officer Adam Jobbers-MIller in a standoff with police, according to FOX 4 Now.

  When police intervened to break up a fight between the illegal alien and a group of men at a gas station, Desmaret began shooting at police, hitting and critically injuring Jobbers-Miller.

Despite a request from federal immigration officials, the Denver Sheriff Department this week refused to detain an undocumented immigrant who was arrested Sunday in connection with a fatal hit and run.

  The crash between a semi-truck and a pickup truck on Interstate 70 killed the driver of the semi and caused a fire that closed the roadway in both directions for several hours.

  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents requested that the department detain the pickup truck's driver, Ivan Zamarripa-Castaneda, 26, so they could take him into custody. But Denver stopped honoring detention requests from ICE in 2014, FOX 31 reported.

An unlicensed illegal immigrant was “grossly impaired” when he crashed into an ambulance and killed a 3-year-old boy, court papers say.

  The boy, from Wise, Va., died Monday, a day after the crash. He was with his mother in the ambulance when it was struck and rolled over in Winston-Salem, N.C. Lyndsay Ann Oakes, 27, suffered minor injuries. The boy was not identified.

  Jose Duran Romero, 27, blew a 0.19 on a breathalyzer nearly two hours after the crash, more than twice the legal limit, FOX8 Winston-Salem reported late Monday... Romero was also in the country illegally, the station reported.

  Nemias Garcia-Velasco, 32, who is from Mexico, was going over 100mph when he lost control of his 2001 Dodge Ram work van and crashed, killing 58-year-old Silvano Torres.

On the afternoon of Feb. 19, Sandra Duran, 42 — a mother, daughter and sister — was killed in a violent car crash on a rain-slicked road in North Hills. Los Angeles police say Estuardo Alvarado, the man who allegedly caused the collision, was speeding down Sepulveda Boulevard as he tried to flee the scene of another crash and slammed into a car being driven by Duran, who died at the scene.

  The 45-year-old Lakeview Terrace resident is an undocumented immigrant with a lengthy criminal record who was deported five times before the collision, according to federal authorities and court records. He has been charged with five felony counts in connection with the Feb. 19 collision, including murder and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Fourteen people are dead, including two young girls, and nine injured after a heavily overloaded truck crashed into two trees in Texas on Sunday evening. According to Bryant, the white 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty truck went off the right side of the road on northbound U.S. 59, a major artery between San Antonio and the Mexican border, 10 miles southwest of Goliad, Texas.

  The truck was carrying 23 people, all of whom were injured or killed. “This is normally a crash [in which] you see two, maybe three people killed, but given that there were 23 people in the vehicle, that made it so much worse,” Trooper Gerald Bryant of the Texas Department of Public Safety told the Los Angeles Times...

  Many of the people in the truck did not have identification and are suspected of being undocumented immigrants; U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Honduran and Mexican consulates have been asked for help in identifying the victims.

  The defendant, driving intoxicated, was traveling approximately 99 m.p.h. when the vehicle’s front tire blew out causing the vehicle to strike two trees killing the three passengers.

A King William County man died Friday night when his vehicle was struck by another near Ashland, and an illegal immigrant was charged, authorities say. The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Casey Ryan Bohr, 23, of the 7900 block of Dabney Mill Road in King William County. Sheriff’s officials charged Feliciano Aquas Suarez, 39, with driving under the influence and driving without a license. Suarez said he was from Mexico, and investigators were working yesterday to determine his U.S. address.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said on Tuesday she "can't remember" how many DUIs an illegal alien can have and still be made a legal resident of the United States under the immigration reform bill being considered this week in the Senate.

  In fact, even after the inclusion of the Corker-Hoeven amendment on Monday, the Senate bill will allow an illegal who has two DUI convictions to be granted legal status in the United States and put on a path to citizenship. Go To Site

In 2011, 23-year-old Matthew Denice was dragged to death by a drunk-driving illegal alien from Ecuador.   Prosecutors say that Carlos Martinelly-Montano, 23 was facing deportation proceeding after two previous drunk driving arrests, and had reportedly just been released from prison after serving only 22 days of a year sentence received after his second DUI conviction.

HOUSTON (AP) — A jury has decided an illegal immigrant who pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter in the traffic death of a Houston police officer should serve 55 years in prison. Jurors in Houston deliberated about four hours over two days before deciding the penalty Friday for 27-year-old Johoan (YOH'-hon) Rodriguez. Prosecutors had asked that Rodriguez, who pleaded guilty Monday, get life behind bars. Defense attorneys sought 15 to 25 years.

Raul Silva Corona had driven 35 miles in the wrong direction on three freeways with a blood alcohol level of .238 percent in the wee hours of Monday morning before he killed Mesa Police Officer Brandon Mendoza, according to the AP's report.

When he was finally captured in 2002, he took a plea deal and was allowed to stay in the United States.
