ISIS claimed responsibility after a knife-wielding man injured eight people at a mall in central Minnesota Saturday evening, a bloody rampage during which he reportedly asked at least one victim whether they were Muslim and referenced Allah. "The executor of the stabbing attacks in Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition," the statement said.

A couple at a German music festival have been attacked by a knifeman who witnesses claim was heard shouting "Allahu Akbar". A 66-year-old woman, believed to be the other victim's wife, is said to be fighting for her life. The other victim - a 57-year-old man - is seriously injured however he still managed to overpower the man who was then arrested by police officers in Oberhausen.

Francois Hollande says France is at war with ISIS after two Islamist knifemen butchered a French priest and left a nun fighting for her life before they were both shot dead by police in Normandy. One of the men who stormed into the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray near Rouen during mass was a local man, who was being monitored by electronic tag after being jailed for trying to join fanatics in Syria. The 84-year-old priest, named as Jacques Hamel, had his throat cut while a nun is critically injured in hospital following the raid which saw five people held hostage by ISIS assailants shouting Allahu Akbar.

A woman and her three daughters have been stabbed in a French resort for being ‘scantily dressed’. An eight-year-old girl was left fighting for her life after the attack in the Garde-Colombe in the Hautes-Alpes region of South East France. The man is believed to have attacked the three girls outside the family’s bungalow before entering the home and attacking the mother... French media says that the man is of Moroccan descent and is 37 years old. It is also reported that he is known by police for previous crimes.

Police in Bosnia have arrested five people suspected of trafficking arms to Islamists in Sweden and seized large amounts of weapons and military equipment, officials said on Friday, after a sixth person was held earlier in Sweden... Miljanovic declined to give more details of those arrested, but a police source told Reuters the weapons were intended for the Swedish branch of Egypt's Islamist Muslim Brotherhood.

Three young men from North Africa sought to stone two transgender women in the western German city of Dortmund on Sunday. According to a report on Friday on television station SAT1.NRW, the men attacked Yasmine und Elisa, two transgender women, near the city’s main train station. “Within seconds we were tossed around…and they took stones from a gravel bed on the corner and threw them at us,” said Elisa.

Some 1,000 men are alleged to have carried out dozens of sexual crimes on New Year's Eve in the city of Cologne. That these crimes occured in the city's most famous square has left local authorities reeling...

A New York pizza shop owner who plotted to shoot U.S. soldiers has admitted trying to recruit fighters to join ISIS in Syria. Mufid Elfgeeh, 31, helped arrange travel and funding and put one recruit in touch with an English-speaking ISIS militant in Iraq, authorities said. The naturalized U.S. citizen, who moved to America from Yemen in 1998, used Twitter, WhatsApp and 23 different Facebook accounts to declare his support for violent jihad and pledge allegiance to ISIS.

Kalashnikov ammunition and Islamist propaganda videos were seized by French police in raids on Sunday after shutting down a mosque in the Paris suburbs, according to French authorities. A sign was hung in a public square in Antwerp, Belgium threatening Mayor Bart De Wever with death if he did not convert to Islam, Belgian media reported Sunday... In a letter drafted in French which was hung on the Handschoenmarkt, the mayor of Antwerp was threatened with execution if he did not convert to Islam. How serious the threat should be taken remains to be seen, said De Wever in The News on VTM.

The following year, the Muslim extremist group Ansar al-Sunna threatened Norway with a 9/11-style attack unless part of the capital, Oslo, was turned into a Muslim nation, the International Business Times reported. TORONTO -- Toronto Police are calling the vandalism of a west-end war memorial "a hate crime." A woman walking Sunday night by the sculpture in Coronation Park -- at the foot of Strachan Ave. and Lakeshore Blvd. W. -- called police after noticing someone had taken a black marker and written "Canada will burn; Praise Allah" on the memorial. "This is an identifiable group," Det. Anthony Williams told reporters at the scene Monday. "The veterans should be respected. A police patrol of 10 officers was forced to flee a refugee center in Sweden after being surrounded by a mob of violent migrants. Law enforcement officials had arrived to relocate a 10-year-old boy after reports of his repeated rape at the facility. One of the officers described what had happened in a police report obtained by the Vestmanlands Läns Tidning newspaper.

  “Even more people appeared behind us. I was mentally prepared to fight for my life. We were 10 police officers in a narrow corridor. And I hear someone yell that there is an emergency exit,” the officer said.
