It’s precisely what the movement to take back our democracy and economy from the moneyed interests is all about. The Lincoln Project took credit for a stunt in which a group of people wielding tiki torches in the style of a 2017 "alt-right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, showed up outside a Glenn Youngkin event.

“Today’s demonstration was our way of reminding Virginians what happened in Charlottesville four years ago, the Republican Party’s embrace of those values, and Glenn Youngkin’s failure to condemn it," the Lincoln Project, a political action committee made up of ex-Republicans, said in a statement.

Before the source of the stunt was known, former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s campaign portrayed the group as genuine supporters of his Republican opponent.

The five people pictured outside Youngkin’s campaign bus holding tiki torches in the rain wore khaki pants, white button-up shirts, sunglasses, and baseball caps. Local news reporter Elizabeth Holmes tweeted that the group approached Youngkin’s campaign bus as it pulled up to an event at Guadalajara restaurant in Charlottesville, saying, “We’re all in for Glenn.”

The Indiana Voter Registration Project's effort to register primarily black voters was overseen by Patriot Majority USA, which has ties to the Democratic Party, including Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and former President Bill Clinton.

TROY — Correction officers at Rensselaer County Jail pushed to register inmates to vote in last fall's primary and general election as part of an effort to unseat Sheriff Jack Mahar... Gordon acknowledged that he was uncomfortable with his campaign's effort to enroll inmates to vote.

“Obama saved me,” he said to me out of the blue. “What do you mean?” “I voted for him for president and now he’s saving me.” I was taken aback by these words, since Henry had no idea who Obama was, or what a president might be, and would be unable to fill out a registration form let alone get to the polling place by himself. So I asked him how he knew that and how he had registered and cast his vote. In halting, impeded speech he told me that the people who take care of him at the home filled out “the papers” to register him to vote, told him how Obama cared for him, even taught him the Obama chants, and then took him to the polling place to vote. They did the same for all of the mentally disabled patients in their care, approximately sixty in all. Go To Site
