Liberalism is a disease. We have the proof. We catalog liberal hypocrisy, hatred, violence, and fascist behavior. The liberal narrative is discredited here.

Political Correctness

Political correctness is the narrowing of the range of acceptable opinions to those held by a small group that enforces it. -Jonathan I. Katz

Chinese dissident Ai Weiwei, a famed artist and activist, warned Americans during an interview that aired late last week that they are already under the control of an authoritarian state, they just don’t realize it yet...

“In many ways, you’re already in the authoritarian state,” he said. “You just don’t know it.” When asked how so, he responded, “Many things happening today in U.S. can be compared to Cultural Revolution in China.”

“Like people trying to be unified in a certain political correctness,” he continued. “That is very dangerous.”

A somewhat more sophisticated way of thinking imagines p.c. as a crude but effective weapon for the liberal social agenda. So, for instance, Alyssa Rosenberg presents the p.c. debate as a question of whether the left wants to be effective or whether it wants to be nice.

My essay describes p.c. ideology as a form of Marxist thought, substituting race and gender identities for economic ones, and assigning political rights on the basis of class identity rather than individuality.

Last week, the University of Oregon made clear to its faculty: If you say things about race, sexual orientation, sex, religion and so on that enough people find offensive, you could get suspended (and, following the logic of the analysis) even fired. This can happen even to tenured faculty members; even more clearly, it can happen to anyone else. It’s not limited to personal insults. It’s not limited to deliberate racism or bigotry.

Students in at least one Rutgers University residence hall are being encouraged to use only language that is “helpful” and “necessary” to avoid committing microaggressions. The display, photos of which were obtained by Campus Reform, is titled “Language Matters: Think,” and was placed in the College Avenue Apartments by a resident assistant, according to a current resident of the building who does not wish to be identified.

The board warns students that failing to follow these guidelines could lead them to commit a microaggression, which include “microassaults,” “microinsults,” and “microinvalidations.”

More than two dozen Democrats have proposed legislation that would eliminate the words "husband" and "wife" from federal law. Those "gendered terms" would be replaced by "gender-neutral" words like "spouse" or "married couple," according to the bill from Rep. Lois Capps, D-Calif... "Our values as a country are reflected in our laws. I authored this bill because it is imperative that our federal code reflect the equality of all marriages."

Political Correctness and Moral Superiority...

The imposition of P.C. has no logical end because feeling better about one’s self by confessing other people’s sins, humiliating and hurting them, is an addictive pleasure the appetite for which grows with each satisfaction.

The more fault I find in thee, the holier (or, at least, the trendier) I am than thou. The worse you are, the better I am and the more power I should have over you.

Political correctness is a style of politics in which the more radical members of the left attempt to regulate political discourse by defining opposing views as bigoted and illegitimate... But political correctness is not a rigorous commitment to social equality so much as a system of left-wing ideological repression.

Progressives tolerating "no dissent whatsoever"...

In his YouTube Channel, Dissent Report, a young, one-time "Bernie Sanders supporting progressive Democrat" admits from behind large sunglasses that he's made "a pretty hard turn to the right."

He took the red pill after seeing friends "moving …towards an authoritarian sort of Progressivism."

He explains, "They were just standing up for a divisive brand of politics that would tolerate no dissent whatsoever."

Political correctness in our school systems has gone wild. Banning controversial speech on campus is bad enough. Banning a deaf preschooler from using his own name sign is appalling to a whole other level. Hunter Spanjer, the three-year-old student, attends a preschool in the Grand Island Public Schools district in Nebraska. According to Hunter's dad, Brian Spanjer, this school district is banning his son's sign language name because it looks like a gun. Brian Spanjer told Nebraska-based KOLN, "He's deaf, and his name sign, they say, is a violation of their weapons policy."

My argument about political correctness is not tendentious or partisan - it's analytical.

The core of the argument is that when groups care a lot about maintaining conformity of belief on some matter of critical interest to them, then the hunt for heretics is always ongoing. We're always looking for deviants.

One 13 year-old victim became pregnant and had the child aborted while another was forced to have sex with 20 men in one night, Liverpool Crown Court heard. Complaints to social workers and the police were ignored because they were "petrified of being called racist", former Labour MP for Keighley Ann Cryer said. Mrs Cryer, who has campaigned to bring the issue of Asian sex gangs to light, said the girls had been "betrayed" and condemned to "untold misery" by the police and social services.

"This is an absolute scandal. They were petrified of being called racist and so reverted to the default of political correctness," she said... Girl A told police that she had been raped and provided DNA evidence from her attacker, however the CPS twice decided not to prosecute him.

"I can promise you that the majority of people who work in Hollywood find the ‘woke’ orthodoxy oppressive, censorious and inhibiting. They just can’t admit it, not in work meetings, not at job interviews, not online."

If your underlying argument is flawed, you do need a force other than logic and evidence to sustain your position. Political correctness is an admission of intellectual frailty.

Why is there no canon of P.C. that, once filled, would require no further additions?

Because the point of P.C. is not and has never been merely about any of the items that it imposes, but about the imposition itself.

When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed.
